Toward the end of Day 4, we entered an area that I can only describe as the closest thing to a rain forest I've ever experienced in Colorado. Thick with vegetation and, of course, insects.
Having run out of energy (12.9 miles) and options, we camped near a trickle of a stream that had enough "flat" space for our two tents. Amy and Erika have put up their tent and are doing "camp chores." I will only say that this camp was not comfortable.
